About
Sara Fakharian is an award-winning architectural designer based in Vancouver specializing in design-driven residential and mixed-use projects. Her competition work has been recognized with a 1st Prize (City Entrance Gate, 2014) and Special Mention (Qazvin Glass Co. Office, 2015).
With over 10 years of experience across Canada and internationally, she brings both strategic design thinking and technical rigor to each project. Currently at Arcadis-IBI Group, she leads design development on mixed-use and residential developments. Previously at Ward Studio, she designed and documented custom residential projects on Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland, managing full documentation packages from schematic design through construction.
Her work is guided by a belief that technical precision and design ambition are complementary forces. Whether resolving complex site constraints, coordinating with engineering consultants, or crafting thoughtful spatial sequences, she approaches each challenge with equal rigor.
Sara holds a Master of Engineering in Building Engineering from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Architectural Technology from Azad University.
Currently seeking roles with design-forward Vancouver firms where she can lead residential and mixed-use projects that balance creative vision with technical excellence.
